Summer 2013 Research Opportunity
The Worker Institute is currently seeking Cornell ILR undergraduate students for its 2013 Summer Fellowship program.The Fellowship provides students the opportunity to learn more about the labor movement, expand research and program coordination skills, meet practitioners and collaborate with faculty and other Fellows. The Fellowships pay up to $3200 for 290 hours worked over the course of 8 weeks in June and July.
Recipients of the Summer 2013 Fellowship will have the opportunity to work closely with extension and/or resident faculty on research and other projects of the Worker Institute. Fellowships available for Summer 2013 are: Women in Union Leadership (NYC); Summer Institute for Union Women (Ithaca); and Web Development and Special Assignments with the Worker Institute (NYC or Ithaca).
Selected fellows will demonstrate a strong interest in labor, social movements and/or NGOs; excellent written and verbal skills; strong analytical, organizational and/or research skills; a strong academic record and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
