The Law Office of Delmas A Costin, Jr.

I am a plaintiff employment attorney. I represent individuals who are victims of discrimination in their places of employment. My clients allege discrimination based on race, religion, gender, color, age, and having a criminal record among other things. Additionally, I represent individuals who were not paid their wages by their employer, which unfortunately happens far too often.

Job opportunity: I have a small law office consisting of myself and a part-time attorney and currently 1 1/2 support staff. As a result, you will have an opportunity to see almost everything that a law practice has to offer. You will interact with clients, assist with the factual and legal development of a case, screen potential clients, attend court proceedings, possibly attend depositions and generally just help in the office. There are many opportunities to have a meaningful experience in a small and hectic law practice.
Minimum qualifications: My office is located near Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. Basic computer competence is needed.

AWISCO is the leading distributor of Welding, Safety, Industrial Supplies and Industrial machinery in the Metro NY area. AWISCO operates out of 7 locations with the corporate headquarters in Maspeth NY.

Job opportunity: The WISP students will work on various projects related to the HR functions at AWISCO. The students will help implement a company wide compensation plan that removes all gender inequality at AWISCO. The WISPs will also be involved in setting up meetings to explain and try and get those employees not enrolled in our 401K plan to enroll in the plan.
Minimum qualifications: Excel and Microsoft office are the only skills needed.

Directors Guild of America

The DGA is an international labor organization that represents directors and members of the directorial team who work on feature films, television programs, commercials, documentaries, new media projects, and news and sports programs.

Job opportunity: The intern will attend grievance and negotiation sessions with the Guild's executive staff and visit film and television sets with Guild Field Representatives. They will assist in research and preparation related to these matters.

Job opportunity: 1) Assist the analyst and associates in analyzing bank stocks and the banking industry. Write reports describing key macro and micro issues affecting banks and bank stocks. 2) Construct earnings models and forecasts for large cap banks. 3) Develop research reports discussing the investment case for and against various bank stocks, such as Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup and Bank of America.
