This course provides an introduction to the arts through reading, classroom discussion and field trips. Emphasis will be on the short story, poetry, dance, the theater, art, and music involving social commentary and connection with labor.
Learn practical approaches of how to diagnose and address this conflict and build a strong and productive relationship. Key focus is on the roles of union representatives and supervisors, rules and norms of a unionized environment, pre-discipline, just cause, communication skills and problem-solving applied to labor-management meetings.
This workshop provides best practices on how to conduct an investigation of major workplace offenses that may result in immediate termination and that are the likely subject of arbitration. Professionals who investigate complex/serious matters in a unionized environment will design and execute an investigation plan.
This interactive course teaches how to analyze grievances and conduct grievance meetings with an eye towards fact-finding and resolution. Learn the basics of how arbitration works with the goal of being a more effective representative during the hearing.
