The business landscape and the world of work are being transformed by changing demographics, rapid advances in technology and globalization. These changes have implications for the workforce, the workplace and the marketplace. Responding to these changes creates opportunities for re-energizing and recalibrating the focus on Diversity and Inclusion strategies in organizations. Examine the implications for re-energizing, driving and sustaining D&I initiatives in the face of such trends as the rise of millennials in the workplace, new conversations on work, religion, race and multiple identities, cultural competence and the paradox of change.

Lolita Chandler, President of The Chandler Group, combines her many years of experience promoting diversity and multiculturalism in education and business, to offer coaching and consulting services in the areas of Culture and Multiculturalism, and also Diversity and Inclusion to business, education and not-for-profit organizations.
The first twenty years of her professional life were spent as an educator in the New York City Public Schools where she worked as a classroom teacher, administrator and curriculum writer, and later as an Instructor in the School of Education at Brooklyn College, City University of New York.
After a successful career in education, Lolita changed careers and entered the educational publishing industry. She joined Macmillan Publishing Company, working as a sales representative in order to understand the business, and later as a National Consultant, Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of Training and Staff development and Vice President of Urban Marketing. She also became licensed as a sales trainer, certified by Carew International.
While at Macmillan Publishing Company she made significant contributions to the development of the publication, "Reflecting Diversity: Multicultural Guidelines for Educational Publishing Professionals" published by Macmillan-McGraw Hill School Division. This publication provided guidelines for those developing and those evaluating instructional materials to examine such issues as sexism, racism, objectionable stereotypes, historical distortions and contextual invisibility in the content of materials.
Lolita was later promoted to a corporate position as Vice President of Diversity for The McGraw-Hill Companies. She also worked at Avon Products, Inc. as Director of Diversity.
David Ciliberto, Founder of David Ciliberto Enterprises, is an independent human resources consultant with over 25 years of experience in human resources. Mr. Ciliberto focuses on diversity and inclusion, learning and development, management coaching and career transition. Throughout his years in HR, he has developed, designed and facilitated training programs around diversity and inclusion, ERG leadership, team building, supervisory, leadership and talent acquisition. He has held roles at financial services firms including UBS, Credit Suisse, HSBC, The Prudential and American Express. While at UBS, he ran D&I for the America’s supporting the Executive D&I Council and all ERGs. Additionally, Mr. Ciliberto has consulted with and has done speaking engagements for ION Media, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC nonprofit) The Howard Center, VT, CUNY, Montclair State University. Mr. Ciliberto also consults with Jennifer Brown Consulting supporting her clients around D&I Strategy, D&I Councils and ERGs. In addition to his Adjunct Instructor role at Cornell ILR, he works part time at Partners International as the SVP of Client Services and Career Transition.
