Webcast & Resources: Domestic Violence in the Workplace
This webcast has already taken place and has been recorded. Please click here watch the archived webcast.
Did you know that workplace violence most often starts off as intimate partner violence? When domestic violence enters the workplace, it can have significant repercussions for the targeted individual and the professional environment. HR professionals, mediators and arbitrators, union stewards, supervisors and fellow co-workers can all be affected by, and have a role to play in dealing with intimate partner violence as a critical workplace issue.
Join us on Wednesday, October 7th, 12 pm for a free webcast, Domestic Violence in the Workplace, a joint initiative between the ILR School’s Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution and The Worker Institute.
Experts will discuss:
- The work related consequences of intimate partner violence on the targeted individual, their job performance and their co-workers
- How supervisors, co-workers, human resource and union leaders, and dispute resolution professionals can identify potential situations of intimate partner violence and respond
- Examples of internal policies and practices and external resources
