Thomas presents at The Conference Board Executive Compensation Conference

Senior executives, executive compensation directors, compensation committee members and other executive compensation stakeholders met in San Francisco, California on September 30 and October 1 to engage in discussions on achieving and demonstrating pay for performance alignment.

The Conference Board Fall 2014 Executive Compensation Conference brought together practitioners and scholars to share new insights on assessing pay/performance relationships and balancing internal and external expectations with sound business strategy.

Stephanie Thomas, Research Associate and Program Director of the Institute for Compensation Studies, provided insight into academic perspectives on aligning pay with performance.

The conference provided "a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between academics and practitioners,"  Thomas stated. "Engaging individuals from different communities – researchers, practitioners, and policy makers – in larger conversations on compensation issues is one of the central goals of ICS, and conferences like this help to jump-start those conversations."
