Thomas delivers exec ed program in Thailand

On June 26-27, 2015, Dr. Stephanie R. Thomas, Research Associate of the Institute for Compensation Studies at Cornell University’s ILR School, shared insights and strategies on problem-solving to a group of 45 financial services professionals in Bangkok, Thailand. She delivered an executive education program entitled “Business Problem Solving and Effective Decision Making for Leaders,” a program sponsored by the ILR School, Compass Institute, and LEAD Business School.

The two-day program explored methods for framing, structuring and analyzing decision opportunities from a strategic perspective. Through case studies and small group exercises, participants worked with a variety of techniques for systematically evaluating decision problems and tools for reducing uncertainty in mission-critical situations.

“The participants were very engaged and eager to learn new ways of addressing the challenges they face on a daily basis,” said Thomas. “Based on the feedback I received, participants left the program with new knowledge and skills immediately applicable to their respective roles within their organization.”
