The International Graduate Student Association (IGSA) Kicks off an Event Filled Semester!

The International Graduate Student Association (IGSA) kicked off the semester by hosting the IGSA picnic at Taughannock Falls State Park on September 18, 2010.MILRs came together on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon to meet, mingle, munch, kick some ball and hike up to the base of Taughannock Falls. Diverse conversations, representing diversity of the MILR program, were heard throughout the park... Topics of conversation ranged from power distances in the Korean culture to the lack of good bread, cheese and pastries in Ithaca (as perceived by the French students)!!. The afternoon was definitely enjoyed by all MILRs who also had the opportunity to interact with Professor Sarosh Kuruvilla (Professor of Comparative Industrial Relations, Collective Bargaining, Asian Studies and Public Affairs)..A fun event and great way to celebrate diversity!
