Awardees Named

Several graduate students affiliated with the ILR School have received awards from Cornell’s Department of Economics.

Nellie Zhao Ph.D. '16, who does research with ILR’s Labor Dynamics Institute, received the Ernest Liu '64, Ta-Chung and Ya-Chao Liu Memorial Fellowship. It covers tuition, health insurance and stipend.

Tirupam Goel Ph.D. '16, who also conducts research at the institute, and Jason Cook Ph.D. '16, whose adviser is Professor Francine Blau, each won an L.R. "Red" Wilson MA '67 Excellence in Economics Medal.

The Wilson award includes $5,000 for research expenses.

The awards were made in December.
