Nancy Gordon has been an Associate Director at the U.S. Census Bureau since 1995, following a decade on the Executive Staff of the Congressional Budget Office leading the group analyzing the impacts of policy options for social security, education, housing, and economic development, as well as health care reform proposals.
At the Census Bureau, she oversaw development of two major innovative programs - the American Community Survey and Local Employment Dynamics, including OnTheMap. Currently, she is leading a new program - Improving Operational Efficiency - in addition to championing ways to integrate data from multiple sources to make the information embedded in the data more easily available for decision makers throughout the economy.
