ILR has the largest concentration of scholars in the areas of human resources, organizational behavior, labor relations, collective bargaining, labor economics, social statistics and international and comparative labor studies. They are acknowledged instructors with award-winning teaching practices and first-rate researchers who write books and articles defining their disciplines. ILR faculty members have demonstrated intellectual leadership in many fields relating to the issues of today's workplaces.
Faculty members incorporate research findings into their teaching and use their consulting and outreach activities to inform their research. They direct research centers and institutes, lead scholarly and professional organizations, and are a leading source of information for government agencies, corporate management, and other organizations in the United States and throughout the world.
