Seminars

The Institute core curriculum is a series of six topical seminars covering leadership and managerial skills and tackling critical economic, political and social questions. Seminars are coordinated by Cornell ILR faculty and are held either on Cornell's Ithaca campus or at other locations around New York State and New York City. Presenters include union and community leaders as well as noted scholars and educators. Participants are required to attend all sessions.

Participants receive a Cornell certificate in recognition of their completion of the Institute program upon graduation. They also may choose to earn 12 undergraduate college credits by completing additional assignments. If desired, these credits can be applied to their pursuit of a bachelor's degree at a number of state and NYC institutions, or at the National Labor College in Silver Spring, Maryland.
