Purchasing Smartphones
ILR Technology Services (ILRTS) recommends the Palm Treo 700wx (Windows Mobile OS) and Palm Treo 700p (Palm OS) to ILR Faculty and Staff members wishing to purchase a Smartphone.
Previous Palm PDA users upgrading to a Smartphone will likely find the Palm Treo 700p easier to use. Users new to the world of PDAs and Smartphones may prefer the Windows Mobile (700wx) version. However, either model can be chosen by any type of user; it's all a matter of personal preference.

Once a Treo has been purchased and activated through Verizon Wireless, please Submit a Request, and we'll schedule a time to help with the initial set-up of your Treo for applications like e-mail, Oracle Calendar, wireless sync, backup, etc.
