Connecting to ILR's Codian Bridge via the Polycom PVX Videoconferencing Application
- Launch the Polycom PVX application
- Enter the address of ILR's Codian Bridge, codian-bridge.ilr.cornell.edu, using direct address entry or by selecting it from your directory (see: Polycom PVX Configuration Instructions)
- Click Call
- Once connected to the Codian Bridge, an audible prompt to enter the conference code should be heard
- Click the Controls button in the bottom-right corner of the Polycom window:
- Click the Keypad tab:
- With your mouse, click the numbers on the keypad which correspond with the conference number provided to you for the conference followed by the pound (#) key. Please note: the on-screen keypad must be used for number entry. Entering numbers on your keyboard will not work.
- An audible prompt will then instruct you to enter the PIN provided to you for the conference. Again using the on-screen keypad, enter the PIN followed by the pound (#) key:
- Within a few moments, you should be connected to your conference! Depending upon the number of connected sites, you may see one or more remote sites in the Polycom video window:
Usage Tips:
- Mute your microphone by clicking on the Mute button within the Polycom PVX window unless you wish to speak.
- To see the outgoing video during the conference, click the PIP button. Click it again to disable the PIP function.
- Click the Display button to modify the display settings for your Polycom window. From here, you may set the window to be displayed full-screen.
- Always remember to Hang Up the call when your conference is complete.
