E-mail Usage
E-mail Clients:
Accessing your Cornell e-mail can be accomplished through a variety of methods. CIT currently supports two full-featured applications, Thunderbird and Eudora, as well as two web-based clients for remote e-mail access, WebMail and uPortal.Cornell E-Mail Channel. Links to specific instructions (configuration & usage) for each method are available below:
Please Note: If you are currently a Eudora user and are considering switching to Thunderbird, please Submit a Request to ILR TS so that we may guide you through the conversion process to ensure a smooth transition.
E-Mail Related Services:
In addition to the above e-mail clients, CIT provides support for the following e-mail related services:
- E-lists (mailing lists)
- Special Mailboxes (e.g. ilrct@cornell.edu)
- Spam & Virus Filtering
- Time Away Responder (travel/vacation auto-responder)
