3/30/2007 - On the morning of Tuesday, April 3rd, a update to Symantec AntiVirus will be delivered to all ILR computers. The update will be installed after computers are rebooted. The installation process can take up to 10 minutes to complete after your computer is rebooted. It is imperative that your computer is not turned off during the installation process. Please contact us (5-5484) if you have any questions or concerns.
3/29/2007 - On Saturday, March 31st, the Oracle Calendar Server will be down from 9pm until approximately 9am Sunday morning for maintenance. Users will not be able to access their calendars while the server is down. Other services impacted by this downtime include wireless synchronization of PDA and SmartPhone devices using SynchML, Consilient2 and NotifyLink wireless gateway services.
3/28/2007 - Amazon.com hoax e-mail circulating. The e-mail generally begins with "We have not yet received a valid method of payment and thus are unable to proceed with your order (#002-4082816-7275366). Your order remains open." Links within the email which may at first appear to be to Amazon.com actually link to other sites. Just hold your mouse over the link (without clicking on the link), and the actual address of the link will appear in the bottom-left corner of your mail application. Do not click these links! Instead, just delete the email.
3/21/2007 - The Oracle Calendar server will be down from 7-11pm on Friday, March 23rd. Users will not be able to access their calendars during this downtime.
3/19/2007 - Bear Access updates will be delivered to all ILR computers on Wednesday, March 21st. Please restart (not Shut Down) your computer before leaving work Wednesday afternoon and leave it on. The reboot is needed to allow updates to be downloaded and installed. If your computer is not rebooted until Thursday morning, please be aware that the update may take some time to complete, and the computer must not be shut down during this installation process. Doing so will likely cause problems.

3/9/2007, 4:00pm - Performance Issue Resolved - Users assigned to postoffice6.mail.cornell.edu may experience problems with sending and receiving mail. This is a performance problem due to a hard drive rebuild on Postoffice6.mail.cornell.edu. Mail administrators estimate 2-3 hours to return to normal response time.

3/9/2007 - CIT confirms an issue with the Lyris email List Manager service. Emails sent to email lists may be delayed or not delivered. More details to be posted as they become available.
3/7/2007 - The Oracle Calendar historical data purge originally scheduled for Friday, March 2nd has been delayed until Friday, March 16th. Now you have more time to archive your historical data.
Any Oracle Calendar appointments older than 2 years will be deleted as part of the purge. If you need these appointments saved, you will need to use the Calendar client export option to the text format. If you need assistance with the export, please submit a request to desktop support.
3/6/2007 - ILR Technology Services network administrators will be performing maintenance on the firewalls in Ives and Rhodes halls this Sunday, March 11, 2007 between 9am-11am. Some services may be unavailable at times during this period including (but not limited to): file and print services, webfolders access, FileMaker and the ILR website and sub-sites.
3/2/2007 - CIT raises mail file size limits from 15 MB to 50 MB per file during weekdays from 8 am to 6 pm. The existing 100 MB limit for evenings and weekends will not change. The mile file size includes both the text of your message and any attachments you send. Moreover, the size of an attachment inside a mail file is often larger than the size of the attachment on your computer.
