Tip:Teaching
With Teams
Teams
work best when:
- they
are small (5 or 6 students)
- they
are assigned a task that cannot be done well by one person alone
- members
have clear PROJECT roles (tasks for which each is formally responsible)
- members
have clear GROUP roles (e.g., convenor, time-keeper, monitor, recorder)
- instructors
give clear instructions regarding process, schedule, product, evaluation
criteria
- part
of the grade is based on peer evaluation, thus discouraging "free-riders"
