bullet How Awards Are Determined

Each year TAC invites ILR students to submit essays recommending exemplary instructors for recognition. TAC then reviews these essays and gathers other relevant materials (statements on teaching philosophy, course syllabi, handouts, asssignments, projects) that illustrate the nominated instructors' approach to teaching. They also request letters of support from other students, who have attended the instructor's classes in the recent past. The committee reviews all materials and reaches a consensus.

bullet Awards Announcements

Award recipients are announced at the MacIntryre Honors and Awards event in April. Each recipient receives a plaque and a cash award. (A recipient of either award may not be considered again for a period of five years.)
