Susanne M. Bruyère, Director of EDI and Associate Dean of Outreach
Getting People into the Workforce and Keeping Them There
Playing a key role in the international disability movement
As Associate Dean of Outreach, Susanne Bruyère is responsible, in collaboration with the dean, for the strategic direction and programming efforts of the school's many outreach activities. These activities include programs, centers, and institutes that provide training, research, technical assistance, and consulting for employers and employees around New York State, the nation, and the world. She is currently also Director of the Employment and Disability Institute (EDI), which advances knowledge, policies, and practices that enhance the opportunities of people with disabilities in all aspects of life through projects, educational activities, research, publications, and technical assistance. She is also Project Director and a Co-Principal Investigator (PI) of numerous research efforts in EDI.
In August 2005 she sat down with Robert Julian to discuss the very important work conducted by the Institute.
