Leadership in organizations requires the capacity to create change and rally people around ideas to sustain momentum. Leaders need to recognize and overcome resistance to implement their agendas by going beyond charisma and vision and using the skills of execution.

This course will address:

  • Evaluating your organization's readiness for change
  • Recognizing and responding to changing organizational conditions
  • Identifying opportunities for change and creating an agenda for action
  • Mapping the political terrain
  • Anticipating allies and resistors
  • Focusing on the skills leaders need to get the buy-in and move agendas forward
  • Preparing for potential resistance
  • Developing strategies for getting initial support
  • Identifying effective communication approaches and strategies for getting others to buy-in to the agenda
  • Creating and solidifying a coalition
