Project: Immigrants and the Labor Movement

Describe your research project: I'm working on updating and expanding the "live website" concept accompanying recent research on immigrants and the labor movement across the US and EU.

What have you gotten out of the experience so far? I've learned so much about the labor movement as it exists outside of the US, which has been really interesting and informative, since my classes have primarily focused on domestic labor issues. In addition to learning about immigrant and workers' rights across the Global North, I have gained valuable insight into the role that technology can play in both academia and labor activism.

Why might other students be interested in pursuing this opportunity? Any student passionate about workers' rights who also wants to gain experience working in an academic research environment.
