The Web can be especially helpful in exploring career information. For example, you can use the Web to assess your career strengths, learn about law-school application processes, investigate job openings at a specific company, locate local chapters of professional organizations, and compare job offers.

More information is available in the Career Guide, available in 201 Ives Hall, on using search engines, meta search engines, organization web sites, sites maintained by watchdog organizations, and resource web sites.

Library Research Resources

Don't forget to take advantage of Cornell's libraries and the reference librarians there for help in using Internet resources. In some cases the libraries subscribe to paid sites whose public-access sites you might be familiar with. You have access to far more information at the paid sites.

A particularly helpful site produced by ILR's Catherwood Library is the Careers/Internship Search Guide. Additionally, the Cornell Career Services library offers one of the largest and most up-to-date collections of career resources you can find.
