Record long-term unemployment means tough choices

With more than 40 percent of unemployed Americans defined as “long-term unemployed,” many are making the tough decision of dropping out of the workforce altogether. According to ICS Managing Director Linda Barrington, “for some people, there is a ratcheting down that's going to have to take place.”

Barrington commented on National Public Radio’s Weekend Edition.
