ILR at 70 Events

ILR’s 70th anniversary events planned on Nov. 5-6 are designed to bring ILR faculty, staff and students together to celebrate the school and engage the ILR and Cornell communities in discussions relating to the world of work.

Anniversary events to attend and enjoy include:

FREE Film Showing

“The Hand That Feeds” documentary film showing
Chronicling a labor dispute involving undocumented workers at an NYC deli, hosted by Professors Jefferson Cowie & Veronica Martinez-Matsuda.

Scavenger Hunt

Win prizes! Individuals search the ILR campus in Ithaca to find items, noting their specific locations on activity forms.

12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. Ives Hall, Room 105
ILR Trivia Contest … with PIZZA

Join us for ILR and Cornell trivia where ILR students, staff and faculty teams go head-to-head, testing their knowledge about the school and Cornell.

1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Ives Hall, Room 105
Debate and Cake

“Is work-life balance a myth?” Come for the debate, stay for the cake. Open to the public, this audience-engaging discussion is sure to be lively.
