Excellence Honored

ILR names student and faculty award winners

Students and faculty members were recognized for excellence in teaching, research, mentoring and community service at ILR's 17th annual McPherson Honors and Awards dinner.

Faculty members were nominated by students for exemplary teaching and mentoring awards. Students were nominated by faculty and selected by members of the Academic Standards and Scholarships Committee for outstanding scholarship, leadership and community service.

Students who are candidates for the Graduation with Honors designation were also recognized.

Honors and recipients announced at the April event in Statler Hall included:

  • Professor Lance Compa, General Mills Award for Exemplary Graduate Teaching
  • Professor Ileen DeVault, MacIntyre Award for Exemplary Undergraduate Teaching
  • Professor Kati Griffith, MacIntyre Award for Exemplary Undergraduate Teaching
  • Professor Rebecca Givan, Robert N. Stern Mentoring Award
  • Aimee Krause, Daniel Alpern Award & Merrill Presidential Scholar
  • Andrew Wolf, Daniel Alpern Award & Candidate for Senior Honors
  • Jon Luke Dueltgen, James Campbell Award
  • Heather Levy, Irving M. Ives Senior Award
  • Steven Church, Merrill Presidential Scholar, Candidate for Senior Honors, Undergraduate Seidman Prize
