The Scheinman Institute's First Annual Cornell University-Marquette Law Arbitration Advocacy Competition, conducted by video conference, can be seen at Scheinman-Marquette Competition.

Esta Bigler '70, director of ILR's Labor and Employment Law Programs, moderated a panel Monday on tradeswomen's opportunities. The panel was part of the Summit on Women in Construction, sponsored by the New York Collaboration for Women in Construction and held at the ILR Conference Center in New York City.

As a Baltimore radio show panelist, Linda Barrington, managing director of ILR's Institute for Compensation Studies, discussed earning disparities between men and women. Hear the podcast.

Hannah Rudstam, senior extension associate for ILR's Employment and Disability Institute, presented "Heroes at Work: Unique Issues in Hiring and Accommodating Veterans with Disabilities" at Cornell's Diversity Update Conference on campus Monday.

As part of the Department of Labor's 100th anniversary, the ILRReview and DOL are co-sponsoring an academic conference on labor regulation today in Washington, D.C. A special issue of ILRReview is planned focusing on research presented at the conference.

ILR students Alex Bores '13 and Danny Blackman '13 defeated teams from the University of Toronto, Harvard University and Stanford University to win a first place at the 2012 Yale Inter-Varsity Tournament this month. More than 170 teams from Canada and the United States competed.
