Highlights from ILR - Fall 2010 

ILR graduate students helped outpace teams from across the nation to win a top spot for Cornell in the National MBA Human Capital Case Competition.  Read more online.

Wendy Strobel, director of the Northeast Americans with Disabilities Amendment Center, was a guest on WSKG’s Community Conversation show.

Brad Bell, associate professor of Human Resource Studies, will make several presentations at the Academy of Management annual meeting, which begins Friday in Montreal. His topics include the use of self-report questionnaires to evaluate trainee learning, the effects of subjective distance on the effectiveness of virtual teams, and the effects of interruptions on the effectiveness of e-learning.

Kevin Hallock chaired the opening session of the Equilar National Executive Compensation Conference attended by 400 executives and service professionals this summer in Washington D.C.  "Risk and Its Impact on Executive Compensation Plans" was led by Hallock, chair of the Institute for Compensation Studies (www.ilr.cornell.edu/ics/) and chair of ILR’s Department of Labor Economics.
