ILR Announces 2007 Jean T. McKelvey Neutral-in-Residence

Alumnus Joan Parker is noted arbitrator, mediator and author


The Jean T. McKelvey Neutral-in-Residence (NIR) Program was created to honor the memory of this founding member of Cornell University's ILR School and to carry on her commitment to educational excellence. The Neutral-in-Residence program brings outstanding practitioners in the field of conflict resolution to the Cornell campus to share their expertise with students and faculty both in and outside the classroom.

Joan ParkerThis year's Neutral-in-Residence is Joan Parker (ILR BS '70, MS '73, Ph.D. '74). Parker is a highly respected and nationally known arbitrator, speaker, and author of two books and numerous articles on employment and labor relations topics. Please read her biography.

Parker will be on campus Friday, October 12 through Wednesday, October 17. If you would like to schedule an appointment with Parker while she is here, please contact Theresa Woodhouse (thw3@cornell.edu) at 255-5028. She also is speaking in four ILR classes and meeting with students.
