Representing the Cornell Global Labor Institute, Sean Sweeney joined 150 trade unionists from all five continents to discuss climate change and other environmental concerns.
The conference adopted a resolution (pdf) that offers a way forward for international labor on issues of work, sustainability, and environmental protection. The conference organized by the Madrid-based organization SustainLabour and supported by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).
