Master of Professional Studies in Industrial and Labor Relations

Faculty

Prof. Samuel B. Bacharach,
Director, MPS Program

The MPS Program in New York City is taught entirely by full-time ILR School faculty from the main Cornell campus in Ithaca, NY.

Courses are often taught by a team of professors, exposing students to a larger number of ILR faculty and their areas of research and expertise. Guest lecturers, ILR faculty as well as leading practitioners in the field, are regularly invited into the classroom, adding even more depth to the exchange between academics and practice.

Dean Harry Katz chats with students during
 the summer session.

In choosing a faculty advisor for the second-year research project, students are not limited to faculty teaching in New York City. As members of the ILR community, MPS students have access to faculty members throughout the school.
