Cornell's Legal Studies Workshops
In today’s workplace, managers need to have a complete understanding of the legal risks associated with their personnel decisions. HR professionals need to partner with their business units and legal departments to ensure that their organization complies with legal constraints while ensuring that the job gets done. Cornell ILR’s legal studies workshops cover the breadth and depth of laws that govern people in the workplace:
- Advanced Issues in EEO Law
- Fair Labor Standards Act
- Family and Medical Leave Act
- Human Resources and the Law
- Introduction to HR Law
- Labor Relations Law
- Law of EEO
- Legal Issues for Managers
- Managing the Ill and Injured Worker
- Public Sector Labor Relations Law in New York State
Andrea Terrillion, Director of Legal Studies, brings her experience as a labor and employment attorney into Cornell’s classroom. Each workshop blends substantive knowledge with effective training techniques, technological advances, and adult learning tenets to ensure that each participant leaves with knowledge and skills they can immediately apply to their work situation.
