Emotional Intelligence

Emotional IntelligenceCornell ILR is kicking off its new season of "Breakfast Seminars" held at its New York City Training and Education Center at 16 East 34th Street, 6th Floor. These seminars are conveniently held from 8:30-11:00 a.m. and cover a variety of current "hot" topics of interest to today's business leaders.

The first seminar of the year is on "Emotional Intelligence". Emotional intelligence is comprised of the emotional, personal and social aspects of functioning. In essence, they are a person's "common sense" and "social radar," giving us the ability to get along in the world. A special feature of this particular event is a pre-course "EQ-I Questionnaire" that each participant is asked to complete. The questionnaire is the first scientifically developed and validated measure of emotional intelligence. For more information, or to register for "Emotional Intelligence," please click here.

Space is limited and some sessions fill up quickly. To be added to the mailing list for future Breakfast Series events, please contact William Wilkins at 212-340-2823 or wgw2@cornell.edu.

Other topics covered include:

  • Operations Management Excellence – Is it Real?
  • Behavioral Integrity
  • Managing Your Personal Energy
