Management Development Certificates

Supervisory

This certificate is designed for supervisors/managers looking to build a solid foundation and better understanding of what is needed to succeed as a supervisor and for more experienced managers looking to refine their skills.

Management

This certificate is for managers with solid supervisory experience and/or training who want to strengthen their managerial abilities.

Leadership

This certificate addresses the operational and personal needs of a higher-level manager whose functions include identifying and communicating organizational direction, the dynamics of large-group management, thinking strategically within and beyond the organization, and advanced communication techniques.

Public Sector Management

This one-of-a-kind certificate is designed for mid- and upper-mid-level managers employed by New York State and the counties, cities and towns thereof. It is especially useful for technical people who have been promoted to supervisory or managerial positions.

Proactive Leader

This certificate will give you the skills to move an agenda through your organization. You will enhance your leadership skills as you learn the strategic and tactical components of agenda building. You will also develop your ability to create coalitions, assess allies and resistors, negotiate support, and lead with political competence.

Change Leader

This certificate is for directors and managers responsible for hands-on leadership and organization of change efforts.
