Cornell Certified Diversity Professional (CCDP)

Cornell ILR has developed the nation’s first Certified Diversity Professional (CCDP) program to provide serious diversity professionals with a valuable credential that attests to their achievement in this increasingly important field. Certification from Cornell sets you apart from those without it by providing you with the knowledge, skills, and strategies – and now a one-of-a-kind certification – to ensure organizational success.

Requirements

To become a CCDP, you must first successfully complete the Diversity Management Certificate program and declare your intent to become certified. You must then successfully complete an exam, which consists of multiple choice and scoreable questions. Each question lists four possible answers, only one of which is correct or "the best possible answer." The answer to each question can be derived independently of the answer to any other question.

Examination Information

Four hours are allotted to complete the exam, which is held at Cornell ILR's Education Center in New York City. An optional review is available prior to the exam. Reviews and exams are held twice each year: in December and in May. The cost of the exam is $495 (no other discounts apply).

Recertification

To retain your CCDP certification, you must complete no less than three relevant courses within two years of becoming certified. Cornell must approve the courses in order to count toward recertification.

Use CCDP After Your Name

Certified individuals are issued a certificate attesting that they have met the standards of the program and are entitled to make the public aware of their credentialed status from Cornell through the use of the initials CCDP after their names.
