The Proactive Leader Certificate explores both learning AND doing. Therefore, to successfully complete this certificate program, participants are required to engage in a one-on-one application exercise, taking the Proactive Leadership model and techniques and applying them to a real-life workplace situation, with the review and coaching assistance of Professor Bacharach.
This practicum starts with each participant preparing a short summary paper of a workplace leadership opportunity or problem, along with their plans for applying Proactive Leader techniques to address the problem. The summary is reviewed by Professor Bacharach, and then a meeting is scheduled – in person or remotely – to spend an hour or so exploring the proposal and refining the plan. Upon completion of the practicum, the participant will be awarded the Proactive Leader Certificate.
