Globalization remains a critical challenge for companies today. Developing international strategies and selecting countries for outsourcing requires a keen awareness of the different factors that must be considered; infrastructure, technology requirements, local laws, etc.
A growing area of analysis for outsourcing has been the impact the local labor market will have on the long term business strategy. HR leaders must understand the complexity and changing dynamics of outsourcing and be prepared to consult and advise business leaders.
Typically companies will apply a standardized approach to outsourcing which may or may not be applicable. This has resulted in less than successful strategies in emerging markets. Evaluating suitable labor pools for various service occupations in India and China and examining the fit between demand and supply of labor and implications for employment wages and location selection will be the focus of this workshop.
Key Outcomes:
- Develop a business case for outsourcing
- Assess impact of labor pools on the outsourcing strategy
- Conduct risk/benefit analysis
- Construct strategic scenarios for discussion and decision making with Senior Leaders
Who Will Benefit:
Senior HR Leaders responsible for outsourcing strategies and decisions.
