Internal Consulting Skills: The "What" and "How" of Attaining Results HR360

To truly add value to an organization, human resource professionals must commit themselves to "what" their organization must accomplish as much as they concern themselves with "how" those results will be accomplished. Diligently following the seven stages of the internal consulting process provides HR professionals with a highly effective approach they can use to address both of these critical dimensions simultaneously.

This workshop focuses on the dynamics of managing a project and obtaining results. The internal HR consultant must adopt a mindset that reflects a "total systems process" in order to ensure that the strategic, operational, and tactical aspects of each project are integrated into the project plan. The workshop will also provide unique insight relative to measuring and evaluating project outcomes. Knowing what worked, what did not work, and planning for future improvements will help ensure continuous quality improvement of this and related business operations. You will learn to:

  • Apply the framework for successful project management
  • Take a "total systems process" view of the project
  • Understand the need for being flexible with - and adapting to - project changes
  • Identify tools for measuring project goals and outcomes
  • Present measures of data in an understandable format
