Founded 30 years ago in Greensboro, NC, the Center is today one of the largest institutions in the world focusing solely on leadership. Our primary purpose is to generate and disseminate knowledge about leadership and leadership development. The Center as an institution remains something of a cross between a university business school and a research institute - serving as a clearinghouse for innovative ideas and techniques for creative leadership development and education.
Programs for Employment and Workplace Systems
For over 20 years, Programs for Employment and Workplace Systems (PEWS) at Cornell has been combining research knowledge with consulting, facilitation and training expertise to help organizations undertaking change efforts. Our primary mission is to be a resource to organizations that desire to improve their effectiveness using participatory strategies. We help organizations understand the dynamics of change and ensure that all affected parties in an organization are involved in the design, implementation, and evaluation of change efforts.

The Center for Effective Organizations is located at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. Since its founding in 1979, the Center for Effective Organizations (CEO) has conducted cutting-edge research on a broad range of organizational effectiveness issues. Results from Center research projects are reported and published in many leading business publications and academic journals.

Useful Resource Links
The Catherwood Library is the most comprehensive resource of its type in North America. Its collection of 200,000 books, journals, pamphlets and related materials, now complemented by extensive access to electronic resources from around the world, supports education and research in nearly every aspect of the workplace. The Library also houses the Kheel Center for Labor-Management Documentation and Archives. Founded in 1949, the center is the most venerable archives of its kind in an academic institution.
ILR: Access ILR: Access, a fee based service, was established in 1977 to meet the demands of individuals throughout the country and the world for access to the information and expertise available within the Catherwood Library. Services include document delivery, subject specific literature searches and bibliographies and referrals to experts.
