J P Stevens workers on the midnight shift, Roanoke Rapids, ca. 1978Kheel Center staff provides a number of outreach services to the center’s world-wide clientele. The majority of the collection descriptions (also called finding aids) are available on-line. They greatly facilitate remote use of the center's resources.

The Triangle Fire Exhibit, which has been accessed over thirty million times since its inauguration in 1998, and the recently created web-based labor photo database allow distant users to access the center’s rich photographic collections. In 2005, 48,164 users visited the latter site.

On the Ithaca campus. students and faculty interested in interdisciplinary research  benefit from the periodic presentation of current scholarly activities through the Kheel Center's discussion series, Conversations in Working Life and Culture.  Scholars from Cornell University and other regional academic institutions, as well as current and past center researchers, have been guest speakers.

Outreach services to donors include answering reference questions about their archives at the center and advice on optimal records-management practices.
