I am pleased to introduce our newly formed Labor and Employment Law Program. When I became Dean of the ILR School last year, I implemented a reorganization of the Extension Division with the intent of increasing and diversifying the ILR School’s outreach activities. I determined that one area that we needed to expand was our service to the legal community. The Labor and Employment Law Program, which draws on the ILR School’s depth of expertise in the area of workplace law, will bring together faculty, practitioners, legislators, and policy makers to provide education and training, as well as evaluate the impact of new and existing laws and court decisions on the workplace.

Further, I am very pleased to note that we are co-sponsoring the Cornerstone Workshop Series for Lawyers with the Cornell Law School, which has a long history of cooperation with the ILR School and educating lawyers.

The Cornerstone Workshop Series for Lawyers is an important step in expanding the outreach efforts of the ILR School. I hope that you will work with us as partners in this new program.
