Conference Description:

Employing people with criminal records raises a myriad of issues for attorneys representing employers, unions, and ex-offenders. At this conference, lawyers and social scientists will discuss the law in the context of the latest research on recidivism, determining whether an exoffender presents a risk, the relationship to race discrimination, the availability and use of background checks, and barriers to employment. Panelists also will explore the experience of the military, best practices for re-entry, the EEOC guidelines, and employer liability.

To ensure maximum participation, attendance is very limited, so register early. To view the agenda with the list of speakers, please go our website at www.ilr.cornell.edu/law.
