Since Lafe Solomon became Acting General Counsel of the NLRB, the activities of his office—from handling the agency's first social media §8(a)(1) cases to the high-profile decision to issue a complaint against the Boeing Company— have drawn unprecedented scrutiny. In addition, as the Board's top lawyer, he has been charged with implementing and, where necessary, defending Board initiatives, such as the election procedure rule and notice posting requirement, and the Horton decision, which found arbitration agreements with class action waivers violate § 8(a)(1).
