In today's organizational climate, where autonomy, creativity and individual drive are essential, traditional supervisory skills are no longer sufficient to manage and lead effectively. Leaders and managers must be able to engage and enhance others, listen, earn their trust, and help them reach their goals.
This course will address:
- Finding the coaching voice and achieving authenticity
- Balancing supervising and coaching
- Engaging and enhancing others through the Coaching Dialogue and the Enhancement Process
- Listening, questioning, and providing feedback necessary to facilitate the coaching dialogue
- Building and sustaining trust
- Setting specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely goals
- Partnering to set a proactive agenda and overcome obstacles
- Fostering Employee Engagement using the BLG Coaching Model
