Song Gao, China

Song GaoSong Gao is an associate professor at the Institute for American Studies attached to School of History & Culture, Northeast Normal University, China. Her research interests include U.S. Manpower, Police, Education Policy and Social History. Song is also a member of the American Historical Research Association in China and the Chinese Association of American Studies. 

Song's recent research publications include:

  • Research review of the American employment and training policy
  • Formulation and implementation of federation direct loan policy under the Clinton administration
  • Historical conditions of the rise of human capital theory in the US during mid-20th century.

Song is a visiting Scholar at the ILR School. During her stay, she will conduct research on "Manpower Training and Employment Policy" during the Kennedy and Johnson Administration.
