Dejun Cheng, China
Dejun Cheng is an associate professor at the School of Business, Nanjing University, China. He got his PhD. in human resource management from Nanjing University. In recent years, Dr. Cheng has published more than 20 papers in Chinese top-tier journals, such as Journal of Management World and Nankai Management Review. Also, he has participated in more that ten consulting projects for top Chinese companies, such as Midea group. Dr. Cheng's current research field is high performance work system, employment relationships, and knowledge management. Dr. Cheng is now conducting a research project entitled, "How High Performance Work System Affect the Social Network and Corporation Performance in Chinese Culture." It is funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
During his stay at ILR, he will focus on how high performance work systems affect the social network in the Chinese bank industry. His visit is financed by the Young Faculty Training Program in Nanjing University.
