Susan Spronk is a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow and a Visiting Scholar with the "Contentious Knowledge" project sponsored by the Institute of Social Sciences at Cornell University. Her research interests fall within the fields of development sociology
and labour studies, and her specific project investigates union revitalization amongst public service unions in Bolivia, Peru, and
Ecuador.

During her stay at ILR she will research the politics of alliance-building between labor movements and other social movements in resisting public service privatization in the Andes.
