Roberto Mínguez, Spain
Roberto Mínguez was born in Santander, Spain, in 1975. He received the Civil Engineering degree from the University of Cantabria, Santander, Spain, in 2000. He was doing research towards the Ph. D. degree in the area of Reliability Engineering in the department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. He got his Ph. D from the University of Cantabria in 2003, while he was working as Assistant Professor in the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Ciudad Real, Spain (curriculum vitae pdf). He is currently a Postdoctoral FullBright Scholar in the Department of Statistics at Cornell University where he is writing a book on Reliability Based Structural Optimization with Professor Ali S. Hadi, who is also his faculty sponsor. He visted from March 1, 2004 to February 28, 2005.
