Malejki has won an International Experience Small Grant from ILR International Programs to assist with travel costs associated with a volunteer internship in Tanzania during January 2006. Michele will be working with ILR Professor Ileen DeVault (communicating via the Internet) on a project entitled "Women in the Workplace." She will study the way in which women's worker rights and workplace issues in a developing country such as Tanzania differ from those in the global North. Michele is preparing for her internship by studying the country's official language, Swahili.
