Jerry Maldonado, New York
Jerry Maldonado currently serves as a Visiting Scholar at Cornell University's Global Labor Institute, as well as a Consultant for the Ford Foundation's Human Rights Program. He received his Master's Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and his Bachelors in International Development from Brown University.
Prior to joining Cornell, he served as co-director of the Carnegie Council's Global Policy Innovations program. Jerry has been a consultant with numerous international development and philanthropic institutions, including the United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. He has organized numerous, high-level international development conferences on globalization, human rights and economic development and is co-author of a policy manuscript entitled "The Americas at a Crossroads: Putting Decent Work Back on the International Development Agenda".
Jerry's faculty sponsor is Sean Sweeney. Sean is the Director of Labor Studies Program in ILR's New York City office and Director of the Global Labors Institute, also located in NYC. Jerry will be based in NYC during his appointment.
