Visiting Fellow Profile
Fenglian Du is a professor and associate dean in the School of Economics and Management at Inner Mongolia University (IMU) in China. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the Peking University. Professor Du teaches microeconomics and labor economics at IMU. She is a member of Chinese Women Economics Training Program, sponsored by the Ford Foundation and the China Center for Economic Research (CCER), Peking University. Dr. Du also serves as a general secretary of the China Women Economic Research Network.
Dr. Du’s research interests include labor force participation and (un)employment in transitional China, gender differences in labor market, regional inequality in economic growth, grassland property rights and environment. During her stay at ILR School she will focus on the topic of “Child care, family structure and women’s labor supply. ” Her visit is financed by U.S.- China Fulbright Grant.
